you that advantage has been
taken of Sir W. Peel's presence
in this country to discuss the
matter with him.
2. I concur in his view that
considerable weight should be
attached to the objections felt
by the Chinese community to the
compulsory registration of adopted
daughters. If at a later date
it should prove that registration
was necessary to prevent evasion
